Amphenol-Tuchel New C 146 Connector Series with IP 67 Housing

C 146 Connectors with IP67 Housing are now available from Challenger Components Ltd.

Standard housing for heavy duty connectors currently offer a degree of protection in accordance with IP65. However, sometimes these connectors are also used outdoors and in some cases IP65 is not enough.

Examples of this can be found in areas such as wind turbines, cranes, switchgears and in rail mass transit. Currently in these cases, due to the lack of an alternative, special costly solutions are in use where the technical qualities exceed the customer requirements for these parts.

Amphenol-Tuchel now offers housing which fulfils the density requirements in accordance with IP67.

IP67 housings from Amphenol-Tuchel have the same built-in dimensions as those on the standard housing market. Due to the design of the housing, the increased density requirement will be managed. This is guaranteed by using a lip that ensures a proper fit of the sealing on the housing. For a secure locking, the well known 2 lever system is in use, where no special tools are required.

C 146 A/B/D Connector Series

The series C146 connectors are heavy duty rectangular interconnections for industrial environments. Between 3 and 280 contacts can be kept in one housing. The C146 series consists of 14 sub series and offer a huge number of variations.
